And now love is over? New reasons for Lionel Messi to leave FC Barcelona

As amazing as it can be, FC Barcelona is now considering to let Lionel Messi go. Not because they don't want they star player and most important footballer of their history, but because the financial problems of the club are complicating things more and more.

It happens that Josep María Bartomeu's resigning didn't was just related to his personal problems with Lionel Messi; also, it happens that his time as president has been bad for the FC Barcelona's treasury and the club is right now in red numbers.

This week, the judge that is dealing with FC Barcelona's unpaid debts has told the team that they need to cut 190 million in salaries for next week, or they will suffer consequences, like an impossibility to sign players during the winter market. 

The problem with his obligation is not only that Lionel Messi has the biggest salary in the club -and so the salary cut would be stronger on him than on anybody else- but also that Messi may not accept to receive a salary cut. In that case, and in case that FC Barcelona then fell into an impossibility of signing players, then it would be very possible that the Catalan club sold the star in the next transfer window.
