Chelsea destroyed Norwich City in the lunchtime fixture of the matchday nine of the 2021/22 English Premier League season. The Blues hit the Canaries for seven who could not reply and it got worse for the Carrow Road occupants with a red card.

The match is certainly the highest scoring match of the season so far as well as being the biggest win. The second match with seven goals this season also came today in Watford's 5-2 away win at Everton but it was Chelsea who was the better seven goals scoring side.

Chelsea's win over Norwich City is the biggest home win this season, the biggest unreplied margin as well, with Manchester City also beating Arsenal and Norwich 5-0 in other high scoring home fixtures.

Liverpool hold the record for the biggest away win this season with their 5-0 win over Watford in Claudio Ranieri's first match in charge of the Hornets. It came in the matchday eight of the Premier League after the international break with Liverpool missing Alisson Becker and Fabinho Tavares.
