Portland Timbers are gearing up for their first MLS comeback game against Seattle Sounders. For the moment, Giovanni Savarese's team has decided not to move much in the transfer market. However, one of his players who left recently is looking to return to the side.
Jorge Moreira, a Paraguayan defender who was recently on loan at Portland Timbers, must return to the club that owns his transfer, Club Atlético River Plate. Unfortunately, several factors prevent the return of the player to the MLS team.
The first is the cost of 50% of his pass, $ 1.5 million. Portland Timbers only wants the player on loan. However, Club Atlético River Plate intends to sell it or retain Jorge Moreira at the disposal of Marcelo Gallardo, coach of the Argentine team.
Jorge Moreira has a complicated stay at Club Atlético River Plate because he uses a foreigner place, which the Argentine team does not have unless one of its foreigners' leaves. Also, Marcelo Gallardo would only take it into account if Gonzalo Montiel, defender of his team, leaves River. During the next few days, Jorge Moreira will try to define his future.
