Transfer fee and salary: see how much PSG has spent on Kylian Mbappé

Kylian Mbappé is in the final season of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain and there is yet to be an agreement over a new contract which could mean he would leave for free in the summer and by January would be free to enter contract talks with other clubs, with Real Madrid very interested.

Real Madrid attempted to sign him last summer and made bids as much as in the region of €200m all of which were rejected by PSG. PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi claimed the club respects UEFA financial fair play policy that's why it never accepted the offer.

Mbappe in an interview with French news outlet RMC said it is true he wanted to leave in the summer. He also said he informed the club early so they could get money from his sales to make money to buy a quality replacement but the club was adamant. His mother, however, said contract talks are currently ongoing, though no assurances he would sign.

PSG signed Mbappé for €180m from Monaco in 2017 and gave him a five years contract worth €18m per year. He is in his final season at the club which means he has been fully paid for four seasons, a salary totalling €72m plus his transfer fee makes €252m that the club has spent on him and it could rise to €270m by the end of the season.
