More than $ 37 million dollars was the money that was found in the accounts of Nicolas Leoz and Eduardo Deluca, former leaders of CONMEBOL. All that money had been illegally transferred to their accounts from CONMEBOL. The Swiss prosecutor's office ruled in favor of CONMEBOL in a new chapter of the FIFA GATE case.

A new chapter of FIFA GATE has come to an end. After lengthy investigation, part of the money that had been stolen from CONMEBOL was recovered. It is unbelievable how such a level of corruption can exist in an identity like CONMEBOL and no one does anything. $ 37 million dollars does not disappear overnight and nobody notices.

This money returned to CONMEBOL comes at a time when CONMEBOL is not doing very well economically, so it is essential that the Swiss prosecutor's office has ruled in favor. The COVID 19 pandemic affected not only the clubs but all the federations and CONMEBOL had been one of those that had suffered the most.

Good news finally arrives regarding corruption in soccer. Infantino, president of FIFA, when he assumed his mandate had put as the main axis that there would no longer be corruption in soccer. Little by little it seems that the accounts are becoming clearer and the money remains where it should be. Corruption in soccer can never exist again.
