Brian Rodríguez is having an incredible season so far and has transformed himself into a key player at LAFC. The attacker passed from not playing almost any games the past campaign to being in the starting XI of Bob Bradley during almost every match this season. And that change could also imply an upgrade in his professional career.

Rodríguez is only 20 years old, and he is considered one of the most expensive players in the MLS. He was formed at Peñarol and LAFC paid more than $11 million to sign him on August 2019. After 32 games played at the MLS side he didn’t disappoint and scored three goals and gave eight assists.

Some top European teams already put an eye on him and are considering to sign him, before his price rises even more. For now, he has a reported value of $12 million according to specialized website Transfermarkt, but when LAFC signed him his value in that platform was of $1 million so now we may think he could be sold for even twice that number.

AC Milan is one of the teams looking from very near at Rodríguez. If the transfer happens for a number near the $20 million, then we may say it could be historical. Miguel Almirón was the most expensive transfer ever for the MLS, after leaving Atlanta United to join Newcastle for $25 million.
