Pep Guardiola: the luxury cars he crashed and ruined in Manchester City

Way more well-performing in the field than in the street, we can say that as a car driver he is an extraordinary soccer coach.

Way more well-performing in the field than in the street, we can say that as a car driver he is an extraordinary soccer coach.

There’s not much yet to be said from Pep Guardiola that hasn’t been said already. The Spanish coach is one of the most reputated ones in the world. Being 49 years old he is well at the top of the world’s soccer elite. His ability, combined with the strong squads he could always build, can’t rule him out of the group of the best ones ever.

But everyone has a weakness, and Guardiola is no exception to this. Apart from his good profile as a soccer coach, he has a dark side, and it’s right outside on the street. He is considered “a very hapless driver” at the wheel of any vehicle he is given.

He has crashed and/or damaged no less than four cars. First, a $109,600 black Mercedes-Benz GLE, a $205,500 Range Rover, a $274,000 silver Bentley GTX700 and a $41,100 Mini Cooper. He’s thrashed over $630,000. Yes, that could be close to Kun Agüero’s salary in a week of his contract.

As pointed by Lu Martin and Pol Ballus, who wrote the biography 'Pep’s City: The Making Of A Superteam', his wing mirrors don’t survive for long and he’s also managed to fill a diesel Range Rover with gasoline, and mangle a silver Bentley.
