Soccer superstars are extraordinarily rich. Soccer superstars can be rich, spend out all their money with no control and fall in bankruptcy, and sometimes, they can be extremely wealthy without being stars. Some players learn to invest the little money they raise from the sport and become millionaires… or well, belong to an extremely wealthy family.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are largely considered the best soccer players of the last 15 years, and they are incredibly wealthy. But on top of them, with a much larger fortune, is another player, who was born in a country with not that large soccer culture and is a whole celebrity in his nation.

He played as a winger in England's Leicester City Under-23s, with whom he played the UEFA Youthe League. After expiring his contract, he was released, and moved to Portugal to sign for CS Marítimo. He comes from Brunei, and his name is Faiq Jefri Bolkiah. He was born in Los Angeles and is nephew of his country’s Sultan. According to Forbes, he is by far, the wealthiest soccer player in the world.
Because of his uncle, Muda Hassana Bolkiah, Faiq belongs to a family who has raised a fortune estimated in over $20 billion. That converts the winger in the richest soccer player in the whole planet. Some reports state that he even spent $35 million in a single month between watches, luxury cars and jewels.
His family is reported to have own about 600 Rolls-Royces, 574 Mercedes-Benz, 452 Ferrari, 382 Bentleys, 209 BMW, 179 Jaguar, 134 Koenigseggs, 21 Lamborghinis, 11 Aston Martin, eight McLaren F1, six Dauer 962 LM and a CSS which allegedly costs $5 million. Yes, he can retire from soccer and live a life of luxury forever.
