Cristiano Ronaldo returned to the Premier League and Manchester United after 12years away, having spent time with Real Madrid and Juventus during those times away. He immediately became the Premier League's highest paid player upon his return with a salary of £480,000 per week.

 

Ronaldo has had an immediate impact on the mentality of players in the league and the salary structure of the league. Many players whose contract are due for renewal are asking for new salaries that will be more than Cristiano Ronaldo's salary at Manchester United.

 

Liverpool's winger Mohamed Salah is nearing the end of his contract at Anfield. His current salary is £200,000 per week but wants a new improved contract reportedly to be worth around £500,000 and is more than what Cristiano Ronaldo earns at Manchester United.

 

Cristiano Ronaldo's Manchester United teammates Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes are also believed to be in New contract talks with the club and Paul Pogba is also reportedly asking for a salary that will put him ahead of Ronaldo. The club is truly feeling the Ronaldo effect.
