The future is not completely negative for Manchester United fans considering Paul Pogba could finally be set to sign a contract extension with the club. The French midfielder had some bad moments in the club and was allegedly feeling unhappy. He had arrived for 2016-2017 season from Juventus after the English giants paid $127 million for him.
After some difficult months, the relationship seems to be in good health again, and the conversations to discuss a contract extension with his agent Mino Raiola have been reestablished. That could lead to a happy ending that can keep Pogba playing for the Red Devils for a few more seasons.
His current contract with the club expires by the end of June 2022. The 2013 Under 20 World Cup and 2018 World Cup winner is willing to discuss terms, but he has set some conditions to go on talking with the club. He does not deny how comfortably he feels living in Manchester, but neither that nor a good salary are enough to persuade him.
As reported by Spotrac, Pogba’s annual salary since his arrival to Manchester United is £15.08 million, which are equal to $20.65 million a year. It’s quite understood the club will have to raise a bit the figure to convince the French star to stay in the club. According to The Sun, he has demanded the board to build a squad that is perfectly capable of winning the league.
