Los Angeles Galaxy wants Dries Mertens. How much they will have to pay for him

In the last hours, a rumor has started. International soccer striker Dries Mertens has been linked with Los Angeles Galaxy. With Cristian Pavon's future uncertaing and the Chicharito Hernández debt, the Belgian would be a quality jump in the Guillermo Barros Schelotto's team thoughts. But, his big price would be a barrier to his arrival.

The 33-years-old winger is Napoli's all time top goalscorer. With a few years left in his career, his chances of being part of the first team at Italy started to decrease. As a consequence, the Belgian born in Leuven, would seek to a change of air where he can be in the spotlight.

MLS seems to be the perfect place for him. He would be one of the Distinguished Players and can command any team. But his $20M rescission clause would be higher to Los Angeles Galaxy to buy him. However, if The Galaxy finally gets detached of Pavón, an offer would be considered.
