Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp, is reportedly keen to sell four of his first-team stars this summer as he looks to renew the squad before the 2021/22 campaign. The Reds have conducted very minor transfer deals over the past year, keeping faith in the players who led the club to Champions League and Premier League glory.

Things are not going to work out this season at Anfield as the Reds' title defense is in tatters. Klopp's top priority is trying to rescue the campaign by guiding his team to the Champions League spots. Liverpool is eighth in the table, five points behind fourth-placed West Ham, having played one more match.

If qualification for the main competition in Europe is not assured, several big stars could pass. But regardless of where they end up on the table, Klopp is ready to part ways with his backup contingent. The Sunday World claims that four player could leave Liverpool since next summer market. The are, Joel Matip, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi will be able to leave if the right offer arrives.

Joel Matip has played more minutes than expected this season due to long-term injuries to Vigril van Dijk and Joe Gomez. However, the 29-year-old has spent some time in the treatment room as well, so Klopp is looking for a more reliable challenger. The report adds that Klopp has been told that he will be given money to pursue his key target, Ibrahima Konate. The 21-year-old RB Leipzig defender would be available for around £ 34 million.

Uncertainty about what will happen to Salah

Meanwhile, there are also doubts as to whether Mohamed Salah will remain in Merseyside, especially if Liverpool do not qualify for the Champions League. La Liga giants as Real Madrid and Barcelona are interested in the Egyptian striker. However, from Sunday World affirm that Liverpool bosses are determined to do everything possible to keep their top scorer.
