Lionel Messi's boots: photos and how much it cost?

For more than 15 years, Lionel Messi has been one of the main figures that Adidas has after he managed to break the link with Nike. Since then, the German sportswear company created countless exclusive models for the Barcelona player that include not only boots, but also clothing.

Last year, before the Champions League match against Napoli, the Argentine forward presented a very innovative design of the Adidas Nemeziz, the model of boots that the Barcelona player regularly uses. The design, which is not leaving anyone indifferent, serves as a narration of the story of Leo from Rosario to Barcelona. The plan was for Messi to release the boots in the next edition of the Copa América, but the coronavirus pandemic postponed the appointment until 2021 so it was in the Champions League where he was able to release them.

Ernesto Luis Callegari's the designer of these boots. This Argentine was born just three blocks from where he was La Pulga. The left boot is the one that pays tribute to the city of Rosario, the cradle of a designer and footballer, while the right one does the same with Barcelona. The left, Rosario's, has reasons that refer to the life of Leo Messi in his hometown. His houses, the Grandoli stands or Newell's Old Boys stadium. The colors highlighted in both are blue, black, orange and yellow, as well as some gray details.

In the one in Barcelona you can see him celebrating a goal and putting the name of the team and city as well as the three traditional Adidas stripes. The number 10 also appears on one of them, the number that he has worn on his back practically all his career and that he wears both in Barça and in the Argentine national team.
