Lionel MessiCristiano Ronaldo and Neymar, are with no doubt, among the best soccer players of the 21st century. There are some other stars in the mix, but no other achieved such a high profile as they did lately. Their incomes can confirm that. They were the highest paid players in 2020, nobody earned more money. But what about when they sleep, when they have a shower or when they simply have a meal?

Neymar was close to earning $100 million in last year, his bank account reached $96 million by the end of 2020. Paris Saint Germain paid $78 million of those in terms of contract, clauses and prizes. Apart from that, $18 million were generated by his endorsements. This results in $182.15 every single minute of 2020.

If there’s any record or contention in soccer, for sure Cristiano Ronaldo will be pursuing the first place. He is always pushing for no. 1, but he didn’t get it this time. The Portuguese striker has earned $117 million last year, $70 million come from Juventus, and the other $47 million from the different endorsement contracts he signed. This equals $222.99 per minute.

Lionel Messi was the soccer player who earned the most money in 2020: $126 million, with $92 million coming from his salary and prizes, and $34 million from other endorsements. That represents $239.07 per minute from the very first one until raising his champagne cup welcoming 2021.

Just think one thing: any of these three gentlemen may have earned over $1,000 just during the time it took you to read this article, or around $2,500 - $3,500 in the time it took to have it written.
