For several years, Puma has not stopped growing and stomping in European football. The German brand is showing ambition by wanting to continue messing with everything in football. In June 2020, he gave a historic blow by signing Neymar, who was Nike's crack along with Cristiano.

Neymar joined Lukaku, Agüero, Griezmann, among others. It  also stayed with Manchester City and Arsenal, to name a few clubs. However, he is now going for another brutal step: hiring Marcus Rashford. Rashford signed with Nike at age 11 and is the youngest footballer to sign for the iconic brand. But that partnership of years now he is under a significant threat with Puma.

Puma's idea is to have Rashford because it considers him a key player for Manchester United, the England National Team and he is equally influential both inside and outside. The offer that Puma would have would be 15 million euros, seven million less than what Neymar earns. For its part, Nike, aware of this offer, will seek to retain the English striker who shines at Old Trafford. Rashford has now been in the first team for five seasons, accumulating 255 games, with 85 goals and 40 assists, being one of the most beloved players of the club.

Neymar's millionaire contract with Puma

The Brazilian star player of Paris St Germain signed a lifetime contract to be an ambassador for the Puma brand, in which he charges more than Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi. Thanks to him, Neymar receives 30 million dollars a year, thus exceeding the 20 million that Adidas pays Messi annually and the 16 that Cristiano receives from Nike. In this way, the Brazilian earns 13 million euros more than what Nike paid him, a brand with which he signed in 2005 when he was still a promising young man who played in the lower categories of Santos.
