From rivals to teammates? The fortune that the LAFC could invest to reunite Carlos Vela with Chicharito
Both Mexican stars could play once again together at LAFC, if Chicharito decides to move.
Chicharito Hernández had an awful season so far. LA Galaxy couldn’t make it to the playoffs zone and concluded their worst regular season ever. One of the responsible for this present was head coach Guillermos Barros Schelotto, who has already been fired from the club.
Another of the culprits could be Chicharito, the club’s greatest player. With $6 million earned per year, the Mexican attacker is one of the best paid players in the whole MLS. To improve and get back to where they should be, LA Galaxy is thinking on some radical changes for the next campaign.
After the departure of Guillermo it isn’t crazy to think that Chicharito may be leaving too. Even though he has a contract remaining, many fans asked for his immediate departure. His friend Carlos Vela may be rescuing him if such a thing happens, as he is also playing at Los Angeles, but at LAFC.
Vela has a great relationship with Chicharito, from whom he makes a friend in Mexico national team. If LA Galaxy finally decides to kick Chicharito, Vela could convince his club to make an effort and sign him. It would be very comfortable for the player to stay living at the same city and to share the squad with his pal Vela.
