The 20-year-old player former club America Diego Lainez, is still a promise for Real Betis, that is why he has a long contract and a big clause inside the football market. Diego Lainez has not had the step that was expected in the European football, as after his transfer from las Águilas del América to Real Betis for 14 million euros, he has not ended up earning a starting position within the Spanish team.

First with Quique Setién and now with Manuel Pellegrini, the Mexican still does not gain trust, so in each transfer market, there is much talk about his possible loan, something that could be a future bet for the club that has him contemplated like a star for the next few years. His contract expires until June 2024, which was the time that Betis have given in order to be bought by another team, with a salary that ranges between 1 million and 1.5 million euros as a youth but even part of the first team.

In this way, the Spanish team could only assign it on loan, because a sale seems unlikely unless an important offer arrives, which at this time seems practically impossible. According to the newspaper Mundo Deportivo, the Betis team put a clause of 75 million euros on Lainez's contract. However, it is said that of this amount, the 20 percent, that is, 15 million euros, would be returned to club America by being his former, while the other 60 percent, 50 million euros would go to the Spanish team in case to complete a sale for that amount.

Lainez has the obligation to pay off at some point with Real Betis, as other clubs such as Villarreal, Fenerbahce, RB Leipzig in addition to Ajax from Amsterdam were the clubs that asked for his services. In the beginning, the Mexican was considered a jewel for the future, but so far nothing has happened no more than one or another flash on the field.
