It is clearly visible that Ferrari is a prestigious car manufacturer that is well considered among footballers. Many of the biggest stars in the sports on one of them, andd sometimes more than one. And there are players who had one in their hands and destroyed them in serious accidents.

Sometimes being a world class footballer does not mean you are skilled enough to drive a 400-horsepower car in public roads. That is the case of Cristiano Ronaldo who survived a serious crash when he was still playing for Manchester United. He crushed his Ferrari 599 GTB when he was driving through a tunnel. The car could cost over $600,000.

Chilean national team lived a historic moment when they won the 2015 Copa America in home soil. Controversy came in the middle of the tournaments when Arturo Vidal crashed his Ferrari 458 on a free afternoon. Coach Jorge Sampaoli recognized he would have moved him aside of the squad if Vidal was not as important as he was on the way to the title, despite he failed the alcohol test and had to spend a night in the police station. The car’s price is way over $200,000, just because it’s over 10 years in the market.

Apart from being one of the very few human beings in history who was ran over his own car, Argentina's Ever Banega escaped from a serious fire in his Ferrari 458 Italia. The car was burnt to ashes near Valencia's training camp. On the other end of the River Plate, Uruguay has their own story: former Juventus’ defender Martin Caceres destroyed his own Ferrari 458 when driving around the streets of Turin. He came out unhurt after crashing into a bus stop.

Last, but not least, Neymar had his own difficult moments at the wheel as well. The Brazilian crashed another poor Ferrari 458 Italia when he was on his way to a hotel in which he would a wait for a match between Barcelona and Real Sociedad. It’s near $1.5 million between the five cars that were completely destroyed.
