There have been lots of soccer players in history around the world who have suffered lots of bad moments in their lives after the retirement from the activity. A sudden radical change of routines, when they stop going to training and start spending weekends at home, can produce devastating effects in mental health. There are a few who know how to keep on living.

Many players become soccer coaches, some others get involved in businesses, or even buy their own clubs. Recently it was discovered another curious activity that has already reported millions of incomes to some famous former players like Andrés Iniesta.

The first one to get involved in days is former Real Madrid player Manolo Sanchis, who retired in 2001 and kicked off his own vineyard. He was joint by former team-mates Emilio Butragueño, Michel, Rafa Martín Vázquez, Aitor Karanka and Alfonso Pérez.

“I see wine like soccer and life: the result of lots of sowing, hard work, perseverance, humanity and overcoming struggles before picking up the produce”, stated Spain’s legend Andrés Iniesta, who is giving his last steps as professional player in Japan’s Vissel Kobe. He’s started his own vineyard too.

Former Barcelona, Real Madrid and Internazionale’s star Luis Figo also has a special like for wines and has attended to many vineyards. Also, he is a close friend of José Emilio Moro.
