Liverpool turned around Norwich's lead at Anfield in two minutes through Senegal's Sadio Mané and Egypt's Mohamed Salah to secure a 3-1 win and extend their pursuit of Manchester City's lead in the Premier League.

Jurgen Klopp's side are six points behind the leaders, who have to play Tottenham on matchday 26 of the Premier League.

Klopp's team needed just two minutes to come from behind

Liverpool suffered more than expected against the bottom side, unable to convert their dominance into goals. The situation was further complicated at the start of the second half when Kosovan Milot Rashica took advantage of a pass from Joshua Sargent to beat Alisson and put Dean Smith's team ahead.

Liverpool were not relieved until the hour mark. The introduction of Thiago and Divock Origi gave Klopp's team a new lease of life, and they equalized in the 65th minute with a very acrobatic goal by Mané from a pass by Konstantinos Tsimikas.

Two minutes later, a long throw-in by goalkeeper Alisson found Salah. The Egyptian rounded Angus Gunn, the visiting goalkeeper, and calmly slotted the ball into the net to put the home side ahead, who rounded off the victory nine minutes from time with a goal from Luis Diaz after receiving the ball from Jordan Henderson. It was his debut as a goal scorer.

The fifth straight win keeps Liverpool in the hunt for the lead held by Manchester City.
