According to Goal, the Liverpool star will receive a substantial wage increase. Jota's departure from Wolves in 2020 has been a revelation. According to reports, Liverpool's latest offer will take into account his growth over the last two years.

In addition to Jota, Joe Gomez is rumored to be close to agreeing to a new deal. Also, as Naby Keita reaches the last year of his current contract, Liverpool is reportedly still interested in renewing his deal.

Additionally, Jota is much more valuable now than when he first came in the summer of 2020. At the time, he was viewed as a £45 million risk. The then 23 year-old had performed admirably for Wolves, but maybe not to the level necessary to be considered a really elite choice for a title-challenging squad.

Jota quickly dispelled those kinds of presumptions. The Portugal international would have likely surpassed the 20-goal mark had he not suffered a serious injury in December. Instead, he had 13 goals in 30 games, not a bad mark.

Jota’s role in Anfield will be key

Next season, Jota is anticipated to play a significant role for Liverpool in the upcoming season. It only seems logical that his salary be raised to reflect his rising reputation as he grows more comfortable in his position at the club, and after Sadio Mane departed the club.
