Many critics have arrived towards Erik Ten Hag's way after this week's loss against Crystal Palace. Some fans expected that Manchester United would've sacked Ten Hag due to losing 4-0 last Monday, but the club viewed it as just a poor result. Matt Law from the Telegraph reports that Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Manchester United will not sack Ten Hag any time soon. Ten Hag will be the manager of the team for the FA Cup final on May 25th against Manchester City at Wembley Stadium. A final decision on Erik ten Hag’s future will not be taken until the end of the season, after the FA Cup final.

After the game, Ten Hag showed his confidence in staying further with the team despite the poor result. The Dutch manager even criticized his players when comparing them to the traveling fans. Ten Hag said, "It's clear, this is underperforming. It's by far not good enough. We are very disappointed. We should have kept fighting like the fans did."

His future is on the line to some people, but the Dutch manager stated that he is the right man for the job, while fans want a manager like Zinedine Zidane. Ten Hag, "I don't think about this. I prepare the team in the best way I can. We have many problems. The only focus I have is to perform better with my team. I think only about making my team better. Absolutely [I am the right manager to turn things around]. If the right players are available, then we have a good squad. But when we miss almost our entire backline, then we have problems."
