Manchester City continues to shine this season after their win last night against Tottenham. Man City never won or scored in the brand-new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which has been open since 2019. A late Nathan Ake goal gave Man City the historic win in the 4th round of the FA Cup.

The news that shocked the football world was Jurgen Klopp announcing him leaving Liverpool at the end of the season. Many managers, like Carlo Ancelotti, Mauricio Pochhetino, and Roberto de Zerbi, reacted to the decision across football. Xabi Alonso, who is heavily linked to the Liverpool job, also spoke highly of Klopp and his trajectory with the club.

Pep Guardiola was the closest rival to Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool with Man City and have had a historic battle throughout the past years in the Premier League. Man City won five out of the last six Premier League campaigns. One of the six was won by Liverpool in the 2019/2020 season. In two of those Premier League campaigns, Man City won the league by one point over Liverpool. In the 2018/19 season, Man City won the league with 98 points over Liverpool with 97 points. In the 2021/2022 season, Man City wins the league with 93 points over Liverpool with 92 points.

Pep Guardiola talked about Jurgen Klopp and called him his best rival in his career. Guardiola says, "The day before playing Liverpool, it was always a nightmare. We cannot define our period here without him, without Liverpool. The best rival I have ever had in my career. Of course, I wish him all the best. He will not admit it but he will be back. I know it. Maybe in 10 years time."

Pep Guardiola was asked about his time with Man City and sees himself staying for more years. Guardiola says, "I’m fine. I want to do it still for one more year, and maybe extend.” His contract expires in the summer of 2025.
