Yesterday FC Barcelona made the news for being eliminated surprisingly against Athletic Club, in a match that after being 2-2 in regulation time, the local team defined in extra time to leave it 4-2 and eliminate Barcelona!

Today, Atletico Madrid played the quarterfinals against Sevilla, in a key match to qualify for the semifinals of the tournament. The match was very tight and at a low pace, however Atletico Madrid generated more dangerous chances. Antoine Griezmann even missed a penalty after slipping while shooting, and had a goal disallowed for offside in the second half.

In the 53rd minute, Sevilla had the clearest chance, but Jan Oblak was attentive to avoid the elimination goal. In the 65th minute, Cholo Simeone made two unexpected substitutions, as he sent Antoine Griezmann and Alvaro Morata to the bench. In Griezmann's place, Memphis Depay came in, who surprisingly scored 1-0 a few minutes later, however, he was once again disallowed for offside!
