After reports of Mbappé finally confirming his departure from the French club, it has all been weird with his attitude towards playing for PSG. PSG manager Luis Enrique shocked PSG fans when he subbed off Mbappé before the full-time whistle against Rennes last week. Yesterday, Enrique did it again but didn't allow the French player to play in the second half.

Luis Enrique was unbothered by subbing out Mbappé yesterday at halftime against AS Monaco, and the French player was seen relaxed and bothered about the game. Mbappé did not sit on the bench with the rest of the players and the team and instead walked around the stadium to greet fans. The French star was seen in the stands with his mother and even on the phone.

Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna reports that before the first leg against at Real Sociedad, Kylian Mbappé was uncertain to play. Still, Luis Enrique confided privately that he was less bothered by the absence of Mbappé than Dembélé or Barcola. The coach is very annoyed by Kylian Mbappé's behavior. Aouna also reports that PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi told his entourage in January that if Mbappé signed for Real Madrid, “he wouldn’t play anymore”. This can be interpreted as the president of PSG giving the full freedom to Luis Enrique in his management with Mbappé.

PSG's next game is argubly the biggest game of the season for them as the play the second leg of the Champions league round of 16 against Real Sociedad. PSG are currently leading 2-0 on aggregate, but they will travel to Spain to play at Sociedad's Reale Arena.
