PSG's dominance in Ligue 1 has been evident for the last decade. PSG continues to dominate the league, as they are first with 54 points. PSG has suffered only one loss and is 11 points clear of second place Brest. While PSG could be close to winning another Ligue 1 title, Lyon club owner John Textor does not like the circumstances of how PSG outmatches the rest of the league.

In an interview with the Financial Times, John Textor expressed how he feels about PSG and the French league in itself. Textor said, "Who is going to be interested in Ligue 1, watch it on television, if they already know who is going to win it? It's the same team that wins every season. The teams fight against a government, not against a private company. I say to the president of PSG, Al-Khelaïfi, in private and in public: Is anyone having fun? Why do you like this?"

Lyon is currently 10th in Ligue 1 with 28 points. After a poor start this season, the club turned things around after the team was in the last places of the league. Lyon is six points above the relegation qualification and 11 points above the relegation zone. The team looks safe from relegation for now but they are no where near the positions the club aspires to be. Lyon is one of the most successful clubs in France and once dominated like league how PSG is doing now.

Textor is a co-owner of Crystal Palace and also complains about the Premier League FFP

John Textor also complained about the rules of the Premier League and how they affect his club, Crystal Palace. Textor said, "It doesn’t matter if you have a billion dollars of cash in a wheelbarrow; you’re not allowed to spend it. It’s clear that (the rules are) built to make sure that clubs which do not drive significant revenues cannot catch up."
