Mourinho back to Chelsea? The manager the Blues wants to bring back

Chelsea is in a tricky spot at the moment since the team is meeting with the goals they had at the beginning of the season. Chelsea is not meeting the goal of qualifying for Europe next season, as even the Europa League seems like a stretch. Chelsea is 11th in the Premier League with 36 points, and the club is 19 points away from 4th place Aston Villa, which guarantees Champions League football next season. They are 8 points below 6th place Manchester United, but the inconsistency is what worries the Chelsea board and the fans. Mauricio Pochettino's time at Chelsea may be numbered.

Although the results have not been at high standards, Pochettino does believe in the Chelsea project despite suffering many injuries in the squad. Pochettino said, "We are suffering in terms of injuries, but we need to accept this. We can't stop believing. I really believe we can succeed. We've had all these problems, yet we got to a final and got close to our first [men's] trophy. We fully deserved to win that game after 90 minutes. Football is all about believing. I really believe in the club, players, fans, and project."

Chelsea are still looking at options in the market to bring in. Rumors suggested a possible return of Jose Mourinho to the club as an option since he is not currently coaching any team. Mail Sport puts those rumors to bed as they report that Chelsea are not open to a Jose Mourinho return to the club. Sky Sports Germany does report that a former Chelsea manager could return to the club since he will be available this summer.

Thomas Tuchel is open to return to Chelsea

Despite interest in coaching Man United in the Premier League, Tuchel is open to returning to Chelsea to coach the team again. Florian Plettenberg reported that his greatest short-term desire is to return to the Premier League. Tuchel doesn't see his project there as complete yet, but he still has the club in sight. Tuchel coached Chelsea from 2021 to 2022, where he won a Champions League trophy in the 2020/21 season.
