Manchester United and Chelsea target Italian coach, offering more than $6M a year

Manchester United and Chelsea share some similarities that fans from both clubs could agree on. Both clubs are uncertain about the future of their managers. Erik Ten Hag and Mauricio Pochettino have not guided their clubs to big heights this season, and their goals are not being met. Now both clubs are looking for alternatives and they both are targeting the same manager in Italy.

The coach both Manchester United and Chelsea are targeting is Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi. Tuttosport reports that Chelsea and Manchester United are looking at Simone Inzaghi and have gone out of their way to obtain information about the Italian manager. The club that has gone the closest to trying and being in talks with Inzaghi is Chelsea, according to Inter Milan sources. The only club that has moved concretely is Chelsea. Inzaghi is on Chelsea's list as a replacement for Mauricio Pochettino but is not the only name on the list. Inzaghi is comfortable at Inter Milan, and in the coming weeks, the club will open talks with his agent to extend his contract, which expires in 2025.

TuttoSport reports that Manchester United and Chelsea monitor Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi's contract salary. He has a contract at Inter until 2025 worth $5.9 million per year. Man United would be ready to offer him more than $8 million per year.
