London betrayal! Chelsea looking to sign an Arsenal player this summer

Chelsea and Arsenal have a history of many players playing for both clubs despite the rivalry between the two. The two of them are big London rivals, aside from the rivalry against Tottenham Hotspurs. Players like Kai Havertz, Cesc Fabregas, Ashely Cole, Olivier Giroud, Aubameyang, and Petr Cech have played in both teams. It could happen again this summer, as Chelsea is interested in signing an Arsenal player.

Chelsea are considering selling their goalkeeper, Robert Sanchez. Sanchez signed for Chelsea last summer and was brought to replace former keeper Edouard Mendy. Sanchez did not live up to expectations and could leave after playing a few games with Chelsea. Sanchez suffered an injury in early December against Everton and has not recovered due to a knee injury. Sanchez only played 16 matches, where he kept three clean sheets.

Chelsea has trusted Djordje Petrovic in goal and has played ten matches in the Premier League so far. He has kept two clean sheets and has impressed Mauricio Pochettino. He has played 15 games since Sanchez's injury, and the club will count on Petrovic for next season due to his performances. HITC reports that Chelsea are willing to sell Robert Sanchez this summer and could bring in Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale as a replacement.

Aaron Ramsdale could leave Arsenal due to lack of game time

Last season, Ramsdale was Arsenal's main goalkeeper throughout the whole season. Ramsdale played all 38 games of the previous Premier League season. He conceded 43 goals but kept 14 clean sheets. Ramsdale joined Arsenal in the summer of 2021. Ramsdale was seen as the main keeper at the club until last summer.

Arsenal signed David Raya on loan from Brentford and was seen as competition for Ramsdale. The competition last short as Raya has overtaken Ramsdale in the starting line up. Raya has played 21 Premier League matches and kept eight clean sheets. Raya could sign a permanent contract with Arsenal this summer while Ramsdale moves to Chelsea.
