Liverpool fans are aware that the club operates differently from other clubs when it comes to the transfer window. The club tries to go for cheap alternatives to other world-class players, but when they try to go for those types of players, the club sometimes manages to bring them in or lose out. This happened last summer when Liverpool were interested in signing Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund. Bellingham joined Real Madrid instead and is shining for Los Blancos this season. Liverpool instead went for other midfielders in Alexis Mac Allister, Wataru Endo, Ryan Gravenberch, and Dominik Szoboszlai.

Liverpool wants to add another player next season who could play in the midfield and as an attacker. Liverpool wants to sign Jamal Musiala from Bayern Munich. Musiala is seen as the future of Bayern Munich, but the player's salary has been an issue since his contract will run out until 2026. BILD reports that Liverpool are waiting to see what happens with Jamal Musiala’s contract situation with Bayern as they want to make a move in case he doesn’t extend.

Christian Falk reports that Jamal Musiala is the key player for Max Eberl and Christoph Freund in the future. Bayern are aware that Manchester City, Liverpool, and Chelsea are monitoring Musiala's situation and watching whether he will extend his contract beyond 2026. Concrete talks are scheduled for after the end of the season. Bayern has to show him a future perspective that convinces him that he can grow into a global star, such as his friend Jude Bellingham at Real Madrid. The sporting aspect is the most important for Musiala. The new coach will also play a very important role in showing Musiala how he's planning with him in the future.
