Kroos was asked about his future a few days ago, and the German midfielder told TVE, "It is a decision that I have to make in one or two months in Madrid, and then we will see." Many Spanish outlets report that Kroos has already been offered a new contract and it's all up to the player if he signs or not. Other reports suggest that he is considering retiring from football completely, which is why it has taken so long for him to decide. Toni Kroos' teammate at Real Madrid accidentally revealed that the German midfielder has been thinking about in terms of his future.

Real Madrid midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni spoke with The Bridge and said, "Toni Kroos, one of the best midfielders ever, is playing at such an high level this season. He's so good but when you talk to him now he is like 'maybe I can stop at the end of the season because I want to finish at the top'. That's hard to understand but at the end of the day, I feel like he's also right."
