Since Mourinho's departure, Roma has improved tremendously. Roma is currently 5th in the Serie A with 47 points. Roma is four points below 4th place, and Bologna is also having an incredible season. After ten games under De Rossi, Roma has eight wins, one draw, and one loss.

Mourinho seems to feel still affected by his sacking from Roma after Sky Sports interviewed him in Saudi Arabia. Mourinho was asked if he is thinking of coaching again in the near future. Mourinho said, "I want to work tomorrow if possible, but I don't want to make the wrong decision. Roma was great, we did 2 European final in 2 years. That's hard in a club that never did it. I have to wait for the right opportunity."

Mourinho spent time in Saudi Arabia during the past day watching three different types of sporting events. He first brought out the trophy for the Egypt Cup final alongside Francesco Totti and Ronaldo Nazario. Al Ahly defeated Zamalek 2-0 in the Al Awwal Stadium, home of Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr. He then attended the big fight between Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou at the Kingdom Arena, where Joshua knocked out Ngannou in the second round. He was also seen at the F1 Grand Prix of Saudi Arabia, where he met with Karim Benzema.
