Liverpool have won three out of the four games they played without Salah. Nunez and Jota got a brace in their 4-0 win against Bournemouth. Luis Diaz performed exceptionally on the right wing side, where Salah usually plays in the game against Arsenal. Diaz was also vital for Liverpool to advance to the EFL Cup final after winning 3-2 on aggregate against Fulham.
Salah suffered an injury in the AFCON Cup with Egypt and could be injured for a few games. Salah hopes to recover in time and help his national team win the AFCON Cup. Liverpool are worried about the player's help and hopes to recover quickly. Liverpool plans on bringing the player to the club's facilities to do rehab for the injury he got. If he feels better, Salah will go back to the Egyptian national team to play a potential semifinal.
Liverpool has been looking at the market for a replacement backup for Salah. Salah is the only natural right winger in the squad, and Liverpool doesn't want to waste time finding a new player to fill the position. Rumors about Salah leaving Liverpool to go to Saudi Arabia were circulating. If the transfer happens, Liverpool are prepared to buy a new winger.

Liverpool are really interested in signing former Barca and Real Madrid player Takefusa Kubo. Kubo currently plays for Real Sociedad in La Liga and is worth around 60 million euros. Liverpool reached out before the January window to enquire about Takefusa Kubo, but the player wasn't looking to leave this month. Real Madrid has a 50% sell-on clause and a first-refusal clause.
