FC Barcelona has produced some great managers in the past that have played for Barca as well to keep the DNA of the club. Xavi is a legend at the club for his performances as a player and is regarded as one of the greatest players ever to wear the Barca shirt. Pep Guardiola, Ronald Koeman, Luis Enrique, and Johan Cruyff were also players and coaches for Barca in their careers. A current Barca player wants the next manager to follow the same path as them and keep the Barca DNA.

Andreas Christensen openly spoke about potentially becoming a manager and wanted to become a coach like Xavi. Christensen, "I would like the next coach to be like Xavi. The club's style of playing football suits me perfectly, especially with the players we have in the team. The club's philosophy is one of the things I love most about it. I hope we get a coach who maintains the club's identity."

Christensen has been used as a center defensive midfielder instead of playing in his normal position at center back. The club has struggled to find a replacement for Sergio Busquets, who left the club last summer. Christensen likes the new role as the team's defensive midfielder but does not focus on becoming the new Busquets. Christensen said, "The new Busquets? I want to say that I'm very focused on it, not having to be the new Busquets. I don't think there's anyone who can. I grew up watching him."

Christensen speaks on the new role, giving him more responsibility in the team

Christensen has played as a 6 in the past three games. The Danish player talked about how the role has impacted him and the team. Christensen said, "For me, it's a little bit about finding a role that suits me. The two matches I played in, there is something I have to choose for myself. Whatever excuses come up, I have to choose them for myself in the time to come. But, what we find very important, or if we can deal with adverse situations, I am the one who should start. And I actually felt pretty good about it, considering things were moving so quickly. So now, I look forward to every game, just to also get a feel for it. But this is something we have."
