Although FC Barcelona is interested in signing world-class players this summer, the Catalan club cannot afford it. FC Barcelona is in an economic crisis, and the club will need to sell players in order to gain funds to avoid breaching FFP rules and for potential signings. The club is looking for players who are free agents and sign them like Ilkay Gundogan and Robert Lewandowski. Barcelona is interested in a Bayern Munich player whose contract expires next year, and the player is open to leaving the German giants soon. The club is looking to sell him for a higher fee, which would be inconvenient for Barcelona, but another option could lead to the move happening.

FC Barcelona is interested in Joshua Kimmich, but Premier League clubs like Manchester City, Liverpool, and Arsenal also chase the German player. Bayern Munich reportedly will ask between $76 million and $86 million this summer. This amount is a huge amount for most teams to pay, let alone Barcelona, which is looking for cheap alternatives.

Diario AS reports that Bayern Munich could contemplate a swap deal between Kimmich and Ronald Araujo. Bayern Munich was interested in Araujo in January and is willing to bid over $100 million for the player. FC Barcelona is reportedly willing to let go of Araujo if a bid arrives for around $100 million this summer. Although the club is looking for funds, this swap deal would be an easy player switch, but the Catalan club might ask for a smaller fee for Araujo if the deal happens.

Joan Laporta is not afraid of Mbappé possibly joining Real Madrid

FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta was asked if he is envious of Kylian Mbappé potentially joining Real Madrid this summer. Laporta said, "Not at all, not at all. Also, I don't know if they will sign him or won't. We'll see. Mbappé to Real Madrid? They have a problem there. They have to sell a player, right? Because two starters are not going to play in the same place. And speaking of the figures that will be there, this distorts the locker room."
