FC Barcelona are planning to sign new players this summer despite their economic crisis. The club does not want to make the same mistake as before by signing players for expensive transfer fees. The Catalan club is looking to sign young, promising players along with experienced players this summer ahead of next season. Barcelona will try to find ways other than selling players to gain funds for new players this summer. On the other hand, Manchester United is willing to sell as many as 15 players this summer to gain funds and rebuild their squad. This makes them favorites to sign many players this summer, and they will battle with FC Barcelona for a Bundesliga striker.

Mundo Deportivo reports that FC Barcelona is interested in RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko. The Daily Mirror reports that FC Barcelona have been tracking Benjamin Sesko for months now. Although the Catalan club signed Vitor Roque for the striker position, the Brazilian has been used on the left side. Sesko is a natural striker who is 6'5'' and is great on the ball. He was named as the "new Haaland" during his time at RB Salzburg.

Manchester United are also interested in Sesko, and the Daily Mirror reports that Sekso will be available for around $54 million this summer because of a release clause in his contract. Academy Scoop reports that Manchester United retains an interest in RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko because United’s existing recruitment team believes his versatility and age make him an ideal profile to support Rasmus Hojlund.

In August 2022, RB Leipzig announced that Sesko would join the German club from RB Salzburg in the summer of 2023 for around $26 million. This is his debut season for RB Leipzig, and he has played 23 matches in the Bundesliga. He started in 11 games but has scored seven goals and provided two assists.
