Liverpool and Chelsea will play each other in this year's edition of the EFL Carabao Cup final. The final will take place in Wembley Stadium on Sunday, February 25. Both teams will have similar amounts of allocation tickets for their fans.

Liverpool have received an allocation of 32,196 tickets for the final. Chelsea have been allocated 31,939 tickets for their fans. Two of the biggest Premier League teams will face each other again in this final. Liverpool faced Chelsea in the EFL Carabao Cup final two years ago. Liverpool won the game last time on penalties after drawing 0-0 after extra time.

Liverpool advanced to the final after winning 3-2 on aggregate against Fulham. Liverpool made a comeback in the first leg at Anfield after a great second-half performance. Liverpool was losing the game 1-0 due to a Willian goal. Darwin Nunez changed the game when he was subbed in and assisted in scoring the two goals for Liverpool to complete the comeback. Liverpool would go to the second leg leading 2-1.

In the second leg, Liverpool started well and took an early lead. The tie was 3-1 to Liverpool, but late in the game, Fulham pulled one back. Fulham gave Liverpool a scare because they were one goal away to send the game to extra time. Liverpool held on and advanced to the final.

Chelsea won their tie against Middlesbrough 6-2 in the aggregate score. Chelsea lost 1-0 in the first leg away to Middlesbrough. Chelsea completely outplayed Middlesbrough in the second leg at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea shook the pressure off their backs in the first half of the second leg, winning 4-0 at halftime.

In the second half, two late goals by Cole Palmer and Madueke confirmed the EFL Final for Chelsea, although they did concede a late Middlesbrough goal. It was too late for a comeback, and Chelsea will meet Liverpool in the EFL Cup final again.

Metropolitan Police request a time change for the Carabao Cup final between Liverpool and Chelsea for safety reasons

The Carabao Cup final will likely be brought forward to “no later than 3 pm,” UK time at the request of the Metropolitan Police. Concerns are held that clashes between Liverpool and Chelsea fans may break out, with the match classed as “high-risk”.
