Chelsea has reportedly been open to selling Conor Gallagher in the previous transfer windows, but they have kept him, and he has become a reliable player. What many were surprised by was the other player the club is considering selling as well. The Sunday Times reports that Chelsea are planning to sell Reece James and Conor Gallagher this summer to avoid breaching the Premier League's profitability and sustainability rules.

Conor Gallagher has played 27 matches for Chelsea in the Premier League this season and has started in all of those games. Gallagher has become the captain of the young Chelsea team in the last couple of games. Reece James also wore the armband when he was playing consistently for the Chelsea side. James has been injury-prone for a while, and this season is no different. James has only played eight matches in the Premier League this season. James is expected to be back from injury in April. His last match for Chelsea was against Everton in December.

Conor Gallagher and Reece James' market value

According to Transfermarkt, Gallagher is valued at $51.8 million. Reece James is reportedly valued at around $54 million. Tottenham has already shown interest in Gallagher and is willing to offer him $50 million.
