This seems to be a mistake for Chelsea fans since he has become a crucial team player and understands the club's culture. While Chelsea is now considering renewing his contract, Conor Gallagher has become a target for another Premier League club. Chelsea could be tempted to sell again as the club is willing to bid early in the summer transfer window. Chelsea needs to raise more than $100 million by the end of June.

Caught Offside reports that Conor Gallagher’s new contract is progressing slowly despite fresh contact between the two parties. Both will have to compromise financially to reach an agreement. Gallagher himself seems to have a bigger role within the Chelsea squad and said, "I’ve had to step up and be more of a leader this season at Chelsea, which I’ve really enjoyed, and I think that’s helped me develop more as a player as well.

Gallagher talks about his performance at Chelsea, allowing him to be a part of the England squad with Gareth Southgate. Gallagher said, "It always helps when you are performing well for your club. It is what Gareth and the others are looking at. I’ll continue to work my hardest for Chelsea and give myself the best opportunity to be in that squad."

Tottenham Hotspur will prepare a bid of $50 million for Conor Gallagher

Even though they are Chelsea's rivals, Tottenham are preparing to table an early summer bid for Chelsea star Conor Gallagher. Football Insider reports that Spurs are set to offer an initial bid between $40-$50 million for the 24-year-old midfielder. Tottenham has shown interest in the recent transfer windows and with Chelsea in need to gain funds by the end of June, this deal could happen.
