The celebrations didn't last long, as two minutes later, the Wolves found the equalizer. Gomes wins the ball in the middle of the park and passes it to Matheus Cunha. The Brazilian takes a shot towards the net, and the ball deflects off Thiago Silva. Petrovic did not react in time as the ball crept into the net to make it 1-1.

Chelsea conceded again late in the first half

Ait Nouri scored the second goal for the Wolves minutes before the halftime whistle. Neto ran to the right side of the pitch to play Ait Nouri in the box. The shot was initially going off target, but another deflection put the ball past Petrovic again. Wolves could be overtaking Chelsea in the league table.
