Chelsea makes some business this January transfer window. With it being deadline day, Chelsea needs to act quickly in order to bring a player or sell a player. With no rumors of signing a player at the last minute, the London side looks to send a striker on loan in the next few hours.

Chelsea is vulnerable in the attack, with their striker producing little to no goals. Apart from Cole Palmer, who is the top goal scorer in the team with nine goals in the Premier League, Nicolas Jackson is the second top goal scorer with seven. This month, Jackson left the team to join the Senegal national team for the AFCON Cup. With Christopher Nkunku out due to injury and Jackson out for international duty, Chelsea relied on Armando Broja to be the striker in the January games.

Broja only scored one goal in January, which was in the 4-0 win against Preston in the 3rd round of the FA Cup. Broja did not start in the lineups in the last two Chelsea games. He only played 13 minutes against Aston Villa in the 0-0 game of the 4th round of the FA Cup, and he did not feature in Chelsea’s 4-1 loss to Liverpool. With Nkunku back from injury and scoring against Liverpool while Jackson comes back from the AFCON, Broja will not have space to compete for a spot at the striker position.
