Joan Laporta is satisfied with the young players like Yamal and Cubarsi this season. Laporta spoke with Mundo Deportivo on several topics about the club, and the president assured that the dressing room is getting stronger. Laporta said, "The young players are somehow taking on a more leading role. Those who are already more experienced are making it go in a synchronized way. The dressing room is getting stronger, more coordinated and with clear objectives."

Laporta even praised Xavi for involving lots of youngsters in the squad. Laporta said, "This is one of the positive aspects about Xavi as a coach. He will be remembered for this and hopefully more. He has had the courage. Xavi comes from La Masia and he always says one thing: 'La Masia never lets you down'. He refers not only to talent but to what you have to give in a game. Lamine, Fermín, Cubarsí, Fort, Balde, Gavi, Pedri or Araujo."
