The Champions League final will be remembered for Real Madrid's win, but also for the problems that occurred prior to kick-off with Liverpool fans. Now, Jürgen Klopp confirmed that some members of his family were trapped in the wave of fans who wanted to enter the Parc des Princes.

In an interview for the official media of the 'Reds', the German coach recalled what happened on May 28, but did not talk about the defeat against Madrid, but the terror that some of his family members experienced before entering the stadium. In his account he made it clear that few were fortunate enough not to end up in the chaos that spread in the Champions League final.

"I met only a few who were lucky; everyone else I met, including my family, had massive struggles outside. I think it was clearly very poorly organized," Klopp began, later asserting that the event organizers were not ready for an event of that magnitude.

The least of Klopp’s problems was losing the final

After making an analysis of what happened in Paris, Jürgen confirmed that the least of the problems that night in the French capital was losing the match against Real Madrid, as he could see how his wife was drained by what happened.

"We had this little party; my wife wasn't ready to party, she was still exhausted from everything around her. I think all the things that happened there made the defeat the smallest of our problems, unbelievable after a Champions League final," he expressed.

Now, 40 days after that night in Paris, the coach is preparing the final details to face the new season, where Liverpool will jump in as favorites to win the tournament.
