MLS vs Liga MX: A chance for a rematch

In the last edition of the duel between the two teams, MLS prevailed over Liga MX through a round of penalty kicks, with the U.S. soccer players winning the shootout 3-2 after a 1-1 draw in the ninety minutes of regulation.

Therefore, it is considered that this confrontation will be an opportunity for revenge that the Liga MX stars must take advantage of.

Commenting on the event, MLS Commissioner Don Garber said, "Last year's MLS All-Stars vs. LIGA MX All-Stars was the most competitive MLS All-Star Game in history, and we are pleased to renew the rivalry between the two leagues this summer.

Garber further stated:

"Nasociación with LIGA MX has brought out the best of both leagues on and off the field, and I have no doubt that the intensity will be even greater for the rematch in Minnesota. Beyond the game, All-Star Week will celebrate our sport with a number of cultural and community initiatives for the region's passionate soccer fans. From day one to the MLS All-Star Game presented by Target, it will be an unforgettable week in Minnesota."

Liga MX President Mikel Arriola said of the event, "It was a great experience for LIGA MX to play the MLS All-Star Game for the first time last year. The players gave their all to represent our league and everyone enjoyed an unprecedented game, where fans from each of our 18 teams came together to support the LIGA MX team".
