Raúl Jiménez could be on the move once the summer transfer window opens, as Wolves are considering parting ways with him before next season starts as he hasn’t been able to recover his level since returning from the head injury that kept him away from the pitches for nine months.

For now, Raúl Jiménez is focused on the friendly games that Mexico National Team will face in the upcoming week, as he didn’t play against Nigeria given that he was a healthy scratch due to the few time that he’s trained with El Tri since camp started.

But he knows that once the summer games finish, he might not be wearing Wolverhampton Wanderers colors again, as the idea of the team is to sell him over the summer, and reports from TalkSport suggest that they are willing to accept offers below his market value.

Jiménez, with possibilities of playing in Europe next season

Although Wolves finished the season eight, without ticket to European tournaments, the same reports suggest that the Mexican international has been followed by Serie A side AS Roma, as Jose Mourinho is looking to strengthen the team given that they will play UEFA Europa League next season.

Mourinho is keen on the 31-year-old striker, as he’s tried to sign him in the past, unsuccessfully, but now that Wolves are willing to accept offers for as little as $18 million for Jiménez, the Portuguese coach will finally have the opportunity of coaching him.

His arrival to Serie A could end up happening thanks to his agent, Jorge Mendes, who is also Mourinho’s agent, as Mendes could have a key role in the negotiations, especially given that Jiménez needs a fresh start to recover his level prior the World Cup.
