Just when everything seemed to be over for Diego Lainez, who has not had a good season with Betis, it has been revealed that three Spanish clubs are interested in signing the Mexican midfielder

These clubs are Espanyol, Mallorca, and Elche, who are looking for the Mexican player on loan.

Just when there were rumors that Tigres had him in their sights and that the player was considering a return to Liga MX, Mexican media TNT Sports revealed that these three clubs will be looking to sign the player.

Although the Spanish clubs are not looking to buy Lainez, they do want him on loan for the next six months as soon as the winter transfer window opens in the next few days.

On the other hand, the media pointed out that this would be the only way in which his current club, Betis, would give away out to the Mexican player who has not had much action with the team and who now, with an injury, would be condemned to the bench.

While these clubs are not interested in buying the player, they do need him as a reinforcement to finish the season

Another team looking to acquire the services of Diego Lainez would be Alavés, according to the Onda Bética website, but we have to wait until Betis is willing to loan the player for the next six months.

This loan exit would be the best option for the Mexican, as he does not yet have Manuel Pellegrini's full confidence.

It would also be an opportunity for the player to explore more options, taking advantage of the fact that he recently became a naturalized Spaniard

Among the options mentioned, the only team that has not had Mexican players in its line-up is Elche, as Mallorca had Giovani Dos Santos at some point

For its part, Espanyol counted some time ago with defenders Héctor Moreno or Diego Reyes

Diego Lainez must leave Betis to seek more prominence

It is no secret that the Mexican midfielder's stay with Beticos has not been easy, and in fact, has contributed to the player even considering returning to Liga MX to play for Tigres.

The club received the player in 2019 and two years after his arrival, the player has by no means earned a starting role with the squad

For starters, Lainez missed the current preseason with the team and the start of La Liga due to his participation in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, in which Mexico's national team took home the bronze medal.

And just in that same tournament, the player injured his ankle, an injury that kept him away from the courts for two and a half months.

For these reasons, Lainez has just 272 minutes of play, divided between three appearances in the Europa League, two in La Liga, and two in the Copa del Rey, a competition in which he has scored two goals.

As a result, since the option of loaning him out, Betis is already analyzing the possibility of being without the player for six months, a period in which the midfielder could play for Elche, Mallorca, or Espanyol.
