Although his career has been marked by ups and downs, it’s no lie to say that Javier “Chicharito” Hernández still is one of the best Mexican players on the last decade, not only for playing in top clubs in Europe, but also because he’s the highest scorer in El Tri’s history.

His numbers with Mexico National Team could be higher, as Gerardo “Tata” Martino decided to stop calling him in 2019, after he was caught sneaking women in El Tri’s hotel. But now, “Chicharito” is willing to apologize to Martino if that means that he’d be considered again to El Tri.

And given that the Aztec squad has shown a lack of goals in their last few fixtures, Javier Hernández is a realistic option to strengthen El Tri for the upcoming FIFA match window, as Mexico National Team will face USMNT and Hernández plays in the MLS, where he scored 17 goals last season.

Who is against his return to El Tri?

But not everyone is happy with the possibility of his return to El Tri, as Guillermo Ochoa doesn’t want to share dressing room with Javier Hernández. Ochoa is considering advancing his retirement from Mexico National Team if Martino calls “Chicharito” again.
