Although Mexico National Team managed to keep the third place in CONCACAF Qualifiers after the past FIFA match window, and still have the chance of accessing directly to the 2022 FIFA World Cup if they manage to beat USNMT in March.

But not everything is good news for El Tri, as Gerardo “Tata” Martino is still questioned about the disheartening performances they’ve had in the past year and for the players he keeps calling even though they’re clearly not helping El Tri achieve the desired results.

Now, after travelling more than 6 thousand miles just to be benched by “Tata” Martino, Johan Vásquez is considering quitting playing for Mexico National Team, at least for the remainder of Martino’s cycle, as he left El Tri camp angry about the useless trip he made.

Even if Vásquez was disappointed by the past FIFA match window, he returned to Italy to help Genoa CFC save a draw against AS Roma, on a game where he showed why he’s established himself as a starter for the Rossoblu. Reports suggest that at least 4 Serie A teams will try to acquire him over the summer.
