It’s no lie to say that Hirving “Chucky” Lozano is one of the most talented players that Mexico currently has, as his skills and abilities have earned him a place in one of the top 5 leagues in the world, where he has played for the past three years.

Instead of giving Javier Hernández another chance, Gerardo Martino decided to call a player erased from his team

His outstanding performances with Pachuca at the early stages of his career, gave him the chance of playing in Europe, where he first arrived in 2017 at Eredivisie side PSV Eindhoven. In PSV, Lozano played just a couple of seasons before jumping to a bigger league.

Carlo Ancelotti was aware of his talent and potential, which is why he requested that Napoli acquired him for the 2019-20 season, when the Italian coach was still coaching the Azzurri. It was with him that Lozano displayed his best soccer in Italy.

But once Ancelotti was sacked a few months later of Lozano’s arrival, he’s had troubles adjusting to the different systems that firs Genaro Gattuso and now Luciano Spalletti established in Napoli, which is why they are looking to sell him once the season is over.

Which team is pursuing his addition?

Even if Napoli finishes the season on one of the spots that grant access to the Champions League, the Azzurri have already decided to part ways with Lozano, as the economic problems they’re currently going will be partially solved with his transfer.

In the past few weeks, “Chucky” Lozano has been linked to a few teams in Premier League and La Liga, although his next destination could be in Italy, in one of the most traditional teams of Serie A, as AC Milan have showed interest in him.

According to reports from several Italian outlets, Investcorp is in negotiations to acquire AC Milan for around $1.2 billion, as they want to establish a project that will return the Rossoneri to the front pages of Europe, and Lozano could be an important piece for their future.

Can he arrive at AC Milan?

The investor group wants to rebuild the squad with younger players to be able to compete against the best European teams and given the good relationship that exists between Milan and Mino Raiola, Lozano’s agent, his arrival at Milan is more than possible.
