The message that Marcelo Flores sent to Mexico National Team

He’s one step away from debuting in Premier League.

He’s one step away from debuting in Premier League.

Marcelo Flores is one of the most promising players that Mexico currently has, as he has earned a place on the starting XI of Arsenal U-23 with just 18 years and is usually involved in the scoreboard, whether he’s scoring or assisting.

He preferred money but Gerardo Martino will still call him to Mexico National Team

He’s even been considered by Mikel Arteta to train with the senior squad, which opens the door to his debut in Premier League, something that will happen sooner rather than later. He’s also a usual in the roster of Mexico National Team U-20.

But even when Gerardo “Tata” Martino knows about his talent and the things he’s already doing in European soccer, he has refused to call him to an official match of El Tri, as he already had his debut with the senior squad on a friendly match against Chile, where he played 10 minutes.

That hasn’t stopped Marcelo from dreaming of representing Mexico and wearing El Tri color in the World Cup, as he’s said in the past, and has even sent different hints to El Tri to show how committed he is with the Aztec squad, something he did again.

What’s the message that Marcelo Flores sent?

In the past, he customized a pair of soccer boots with the colors of the Mexican flag, but this time, he got customized shinpads, one of them shows a cartoon of him wearing Arsenal’s jersey and the Gunners logo in the back.

The other shinpad shows a cartoon of Marcelo Flores wearing Mexico National Team jersey with the number 10, the number he usually wears when he’s part of the U-20 squad. It also has the Mexican flag in front of him, a gesture that can be interpreted as another way of showing his commitment with El Tri.

Can he play the world cup with Mexico National Team?

Canada National Team hasn’t stopped trying to convince him to play for them, as they currently have a team that is set to make history, as they are already classified to Qatar 2022, and given that he hasn’t debuted in an official match with El Tri, he still has the opportunity of doing so.

But his desire is to play for El Tri, and Martino knows about it, which is why he considered him part of a preliminary list of 50 players for the upcoming FIFA match window, although it’s yet to be seen if he’s part of the final list, one that Martino will publish next week.
